Analyses of Stone Artifacts

Announcements

This gives some information about the second mid-term exam, which will be on Friday, 10 December. It is a mid-term exam, not a final, and so will not be specifically about matters predating the first mid-term exam (except insofar as the second half of the course built upon the first half).

This is a working link to the Lycett paper.

The fifth lab-test will appear today, 3 December, and will consists of 13 flaked stone-artefacts that you should identify and describe as usual. This will count for about 44 points. There is also a drawing of an artefact to be identified and described in detail (but don’t bother to measure it). The drawing will be handed out in class today and I will try to put a link to it here as well.

For your edification, I post a photograph of part of the Safsaf sandsheet. (You should magnify it.)

I have uploaded a file of current grades. You are sorted by the final four numbers of your Student ID, and I leave you to work out the cryptic last two lines

This is (I hope) a link to the Week 10 readings.

And this is to the Week 11 readings
