Basal apparatus = RNAP II + general TF's
		most have Inr = Py2APy5 with A at startpoint TATA box at -25 TATA box bound by TBP, part of the factor TFIID along with other TAF's.  TBP is found associated with the other RNA polymerases as well.  TBP binds to the minor groove, like nucleosomes.  A series of TAF's bind and are followed by RNAP. Most of the TAF's must be released before elongation can start.
