Yeast two-hybrid system. If the red and yellow halves of the fusion proteins interact with each other, the lacZ gene will be transcribed.  Genome- wide screens are currently being done in yeast and C. elegans using this technique.  The sensitivity is perhaps 60- 80%; specificity is unknown.
