BENEFIT Assessment & Completion

The BENEFIT course allows you to assess your progress lesson by lesson throughout the course. Successful completion of the course depends on completing the assignments, readings, exercises, labs, and projects, and achieving satisfactory performance on the quizzes.

Assessment

Assessment is a valuable tool in any course, especially in the unique BENEFIT course, which is entirely online and without the guidance of an instructor. To help you succeed in the course, several assessment tools are available that will refer you to areas where further study and review are needed. You can assess your understanding of the course materials by comparing your work to:

  • Sample solutions and answers provided throughout the course.
  • Answers to the self-study exercises in the back of the textbook.
  • Immediate feedback received after taking the quizzes.

Completion

 Assessment Tools
  • Sample solutions to exercises and labs
  • Self-study exercises
  • Quiz feedback

An Acknowledgement of Completion is available after completion of a single unit or the full BENEFIT course. To earn an Acknowledgement of Completion you must:

  • opt in for the certicate on My Progress Page when you begin the unit or course;
  • study all the lessons;
  • complete all the assignments, labs, and projects; and
  • receive a passing score on all the quizzes.

Only students who have earned acknowledgements for all three units are eligible to receive an Acknowledgement of Completion for the entire course.
