Position Specific Iterated (PSI) BLAST
	• The first step is a regular BLAST search – Hits scoring above a user defined threshold are used for a multiple alignment • A position specific substitution matrix for the multiple alignment is constructed – Another BLAST search is performed using this matrix is used instead of Blosum 62 • New hits can be added to the alignment and the process repeated
