Attendance at lecture and lab discussion is strongly encouraged!!

The midterm and final will be multiple choice and both require a scantron form. Lecture grades will be awarded based on questions asked in class on randomly determined days. Weekly writing assignments will be assigned on Fridays and due on Tuesdays at the beginning of lecture, unless otherwise specified. Each assignment will require you to write one paragraph and will be graded as acceptable (1 point) or unacceptable (0 points). Truly exceptional answers may, at the instructor's discretion, receive 2 points. Answers will be briefly discussed in class. The requirements for the lab will be discussed in your lab session by your TA.
