Adoption- Do you think people would stop listening to pod-casts if there were commericials? Why or why not?
- Will 24 hour news channels have to change their formats in order to keep up with the blogging world? How?
- In the video we watched in class EPIC2014 I believe it was, we saw newspapers going completely online. Is the future of publishing and journalism completely online?
- What mass media sources will become obsolete as podcasts and new media sources increase in popularity?
- How do you think blogging and podcast will affect the future of how we receive news and information? How might it affect the future of communication in general?
- How would the convenience of podcasting affect peoples' choice of the way they obtain their news?
Media & Technology
- If there was an article you wanted to read about something happening in the news would you rather read it from a newspaper, watch a report on T.V, or read a respectable blog entry with comments and links? Why?
- Could we possibly be listening to the radio, much like we did with the walkman, on our iPods in the near future? Why or why not?
- Where do you see iPods in the future? If they are already being used for radio podcasts, and could possibly have other radio features, what other forms of technology do you think might be found on the future iPod?
- Information technology, will lead—among many other things—to mass customization, disintermediation (elimination of middlemen), and media convergence. Do you believe this to be true? Why or why not?
- What do you think would be different about the Internet had Berners-Lee patented Hypertext Markup Language?
- In the future, if every radio set came with a screen and radio stations began filming radio programs (like ESPN's Mike and Mike radio show), would that be the equivalent to the end of radio? Explain please.
- The more and more I learn about how big technology is getting and becoming a major source in every day life as well as the numerous amount of activities that are done on the web I cant help but worry that this will have a huge impact on our society in a negative way. Do you agree or disagree with this, why or why not. Keep in mind that those who cannot afford these technologies or go to schools that cannot afford these technologies will be completely left out. What implications on our society will this have? What ways could and should our society solve these types of problems? Or should we just ignore them like we usually do?
- With the ability to view images on ipods how will the popularity of radio be affected? Will it become obsolete?

- Are we "going back in time" to a point when newpapers were for an elite class and everything else was for everybody else?
- Are web-logs and other audience participatory media outlets for “a bunch of people who are turned off by the mainstream media,” or are they places for discussing current events? Why, and what is the difference?
- Do you think that blogging has increased public awareness of current events? Has it increased the interest in the news, and how?
- Do you think journalism has changed since 9/11? If so, how?
- Do we have a new trend of creating networks or is there a pressure on companies now to buy in the new media, in fear of competition? Explain.
- How is the blog going to change the way people get their news and other information? Will people begin to read blogs more often as their sources of news as well as entertainment?
- It is good to be able to find a variety of opinions and news on the internet through blogging, but how can “average” people know what to consider credible on the internet.
- Is there such thing as too much news? How do you think a possible overflow of news will effect the general public?

- Many of our readings as cause me to think about the digital divide. What happens to those who don’t have access to the blogesphere? Will they become further disconnect?
