Week 9: Emerging Technologies
tuesday 23 may
- As students arrive ... take this time to read classmate

- Lecture / Reading Discussion (ppt, student
questions)
- Last assignment: due date moved from 26 May to 30 May (after Memorial
Day weekend)
- Blog/Networks assignment - comments on
papers - grades
- Project details:
- Web Delivery: Abstract, and link to paper as PDF or RTF.
(Demo -> print, select PDF or save as, RTF). Link to both native PPT
and
PPT saved as HTML. Due 6 June. Links must be on your COM 300 course
page!
- eSubmit: Final paper as Word Doc. Length: long enough!
For most, that will be 8-12 pages. Remember the Annotated Bibliography
is a separate document.
Short annotations (abstract similar to Assignment 1).
- Podcast students
-> Submit an annotated list of references, as you probably have research
that did not make it into your script. Your "paper" is your
script. Your
audio file should be uploaded to your Dante account - pleasae put a
link on your
COM300 course page.
thursday 25 may
- Presentations Begin Today @ NOON (classroom will be open at 11.30 and
I'll be here - but this gives these students some "last minute" time
to get files uploaded).
- After presentations, we'll complete course evaluations. There will
be lab time for anyone who needs help.
- Those not giving presentations will be completing evaluations for each
student, which will be shared with those who are interested in feedback
(with identifying names removed, of course).
