week 5 - wednesday 1 february
Lab: Using Powerpoint
Wednesday's workshop is being led by Joel Ballazzera. You will learn how to create a basic powerpoint presentation, save it as HTML, and upload those files to your web site (created last week with SimpleSite).Create a powerpoint presentation. (Catalyst how-to)
- Create a new folder in simple site to hold the powerpoint files. Name it ppt_example (note lower case and underscore)
- Upload the powerpoint files to this new folder. (You may need to create the subfolder that ppt creates when it converts to html - I don't know if you can upload a folder with the SimpleSite tool)
- Add a link to the PPT (ppt_example/index.htm) on your home page.
Assignment One
Grades are posted by last five digits of your UW ID. Check your e-mail later today for a copy of your assignment with suggestions, comments -- but there is no grade on that paper!
