Course Description
Official: An introduction to the modern discipline of Civil and Environmental Engineering including major sub-disciplines, professional careers, projects and department faculty. Lectures explore the different disciplines and their relevance to today’s students.
Unofficial: We wanted an opportunity to show you what we think civil and environmental engineering (CEE) is today. We also thought that if you were interested in the field (from "seriously interested" all the way to "just wanted to check it out") you might want to know what we think it's like today. Thus, this course. Hey, we think CEE is geat and the possibliities are endless and we would like to show you what it is and what is isn't. So, sign up and join us as we talk about the field, its sub-specialties, careers, jobs out of college, tools of the trade and more. See you in class...
