Personal Statement:

Immediately after graduating from High School I entered the United States Army. While in the Army I served as an Airborne Ranger for over five years, and I earned several decorations including the Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, and the Expert Infantryman’s Badge. After I was honorably discharged I started college at the University of Washington as a Civil Engineering major. I have chosen to specialize in Geotechnical Engineering, where I plan to use GIS to identify the location of underground utilities, and geologic features. While attending the University of Washington I became a state licensed Foster Parent. As a Foster Parent I have provided non-permanent long-term care for abused and/or neglected children for over three years. During that time, my wife an I have chosen to adopt the first child we cared for and are now the proud parents of a six year old boy.
