Weekly short writing assignments will be posted to a public blog. Invitations to author the blog should be received via email. Students are encouraged to initiate discussions and respond to colleagues comments.

Assignment Requirements: One (1) blog entry per week (one new post or reflection on another student's post). Assignment Blog entries should be attached to the week's thread.  You can engage with and write as many blog entries as you would like in the week above and beyond the requirement. If you find items to share with the class, feel free to start a new thread and add comments to other entries.  The blog entries should be posted by Monday morning 8am starting Monday April 6th and ending Monday May 18th.

Topics to be discussed: Weekly readings are posted on the eReserves. These texts include reports, article and journal papers on emerging technologies and project management.

Why are we doing this you ask?  A number of reasons. 

1 - it is important to develop a habit of regular writing:  Check out Dr. Mary McKinney's blog:

2 - It is important to learn to write for a general audience.  Even if you are writing an internal report, letter, memo or email, these can be copied, forwarded, or otherwise shared beyond their intended audience (particularly in the electronic age) and writing for a public audience is a good habit to develop.

3 - This is a way we can share our reflections and discoveries with the community.
