GLAAD
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

MANAA
Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA) is dedicated to monitoring the media and advocating for balanced, sensitive, and positive portrayals of Asian Americans.

Asian Media Watch
Asian Media Watch™ is a not-for-profit grassroots organization dedicated to promoting a fair and balance portrayal of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans in the media and entertainment industry.  This website provides news about APIA media portrayals including our effort to monitor television and film for offensive or controversial content, campaign against offensive programming, and promote better APIA media representation.

UNITY Online
Representing 7,000 journalists of color, UNITY: Journalists of Color, Inc. is a strategic alliance comprised of four national associations: Asian American Journalists Association, National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the Native American Journalists Association.  In addition to planning the largest regular gathering of journalists in the nation(the UNITY 2004 Convention), UNITY develops programs and institutional relationships that promote year-round journalism advocacy and education, with a focus on fairness & accuracy in news coverage and diversity in newsrooms.

Native American Journalists Association (NAJA)
serves and empowers Native journalists through programs and actions designed to enrich journalism and promote Native cultures.

NAHJ
National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry.

NABJ
The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is an organization of journalists, students and media-related professionals that provides quality programs and services to and advocates on behalf of black journalists worldwide.

AAJA
The mission of the Asian American Journalists Association is to:
  1. To encourage Asian American and Pacific Islanders to enter the ranks of journalism
  2. To work for fair and accurate coverage of Asian American and Pacific Islanders
  3. To increase the number of Asian American and Pacific Islander journalists and news managers in the industry.
