OSCE - Tips

The End-of-Second-Year OSCEs

(Objective Structured Clinical Examination)

" Tips for your journey" or demonstrating excellence

The OSCE is a multi-station examination that tests focused history and physical examination skills and basic clinical reasoning and interpretation. The end of the second year OSCEs will evaluate the general skills that have been taught in the ICM II course. It is tailored to your current level of training. There will not be any surprises. Most stations include a clinician observer who will be watching your interactions with the patient in the room, and rating your performance as you proceed.
