REQUIREMENTS
The
course structure will follow the five steps
mentioned previously, in
addition to a more substantive discussion about the
definition and nature of “social media.” The term
project will also be based on this workflow, with
deliverables that reflect each step, including a
presentation to the class soliciting feedback for the
final written research proposal.
We will also invite guest speakers, who are working
professionals in the field, to give us real-life examples
of how they conduct their own research strategies and
methodologies.
Finally, writing is a fundamental component of this class,
and of the MCDM program in general. We will begin the
course with a short writing workshop, which will help you
enormously both throughout the course, and during your time
as a Masters student, as well as throughout your career as
a working professional.
As with all MCDM classes, I don’t just see you as
“students.” You come to the program with a wealth of
experience, and we can all learn from each other. As such,
I look forward to your energetic participation and input in
class.
This includes writing a "Minute Paper" ( a quick thought or
question based on each class) at the end of each of our
sessions.
I'll also require you to either comment, or create your own
post, on Flipthemedia,
once a week. Please
make sure that you put your name on your post/comment so I
know who said what.
PRIOR
