Monster Stair – A new entrance to Danny Woo Gardens that strengthens the connection between the neighborhood and the community gardens, with a design that plays on cultural imagery of the past and present of the Japanese American Community. Paul Chasan (board 1)

Light in the Alley – This project focuses on creating safer, livelier alleyway connections that contribute to the identity of Nihonmachi. The three alleys are located between Jackson, Main, 5th and 7th streets. Arielle Farina Clark

Little Saigon Streetscape Improvements – Activating pedestrian space and corridors along Jackson, King, and 12th Street. This design uses small implementation methods to blur the boundaries between the building and the street. Garrett Devier (board 1)

Shopping Center Improvements – This project seeks to improve the vibrancy and safety of Little Saigon’s most common land use – the shopping center – by encouraging patrons to gather and interact in the open space around storefronts. Irene Tang (board 1, board 2)

Creating Links/Activating Corridors – This project examines the potential to create connections with new development proposals along South Dearborn Street and to nearby points of interest and a regional network of trails and open space. Jocelyn Freilinger (board 1)
