Coffee & its Consequences
UW Study Abroad in Costa Rica & Nicaragua - June-July, 2008

Welcome to the home page for the UW Exploration Seminar: Communities, Corporations & the Continuum of Coffee. This program examines the continuum, contrasts and consequences of coffee production in and between two important coffee countries, Costa Rica & Nicaragua. During one month in both countries, students will be oriented to the key processes, people and topics through site visits, meetings, lectures and discussions with representatives from the coffee industry, “front-line” coffee workers, consumers, and some of those behind new efforts at corporate social responsibility in the industry.

This page is designed for students enrolled in the program, and provides links to key program information, course information and reading materials, and relevant UW and a variety of Costa Rica, Nicaragua and coffee-related links &resources.
