The Interactive Media Design program focuses on the use of contemporary media design tools, technologies, processes and techniques. In learning about these, the student also practices effective communication techniques, including documentation, project management and team building, presentations, and the creation of effective web designs.
A major goal of the CSS 233 course, as a path to the IMD program, is to get a start on a personal portfolio, illustrating the breadth and depth of acquired skill and knowledge. In this vein, the introduction to IM technologies encompasses: core technologies; basic programming; content formats; multimedia assets; and development processes & tools.
Examines the core technologies used to design, build and support media applications. Create interactive media projects using media production processes and tools; applying programming constructs, incorporating text and multimedia content, and using standard formats and languages.
