DBT WORKSHOP, SEMINAR, AND CLINICAL TRAINING 2009-2010

This section only gives logistics. See DBT Residency Training and Supervision Description page for more information and guidelines to program. WORKSHOPS- Two consecutive Saturdays in July 18 and 25, 2009 from 9-5pm at Harborview Research and Training Building, room 117/121. SEMINAR- Wednesdays July 29 through December 23, 2009 from 6:40-8pm* at Harborview Research and Training Building, room 121**. *Please note that the first 4 seminars will be held from 7-8:30pm. These seminars are on 7/29, 8/5, 8/12, and 8/19. **Seminar will be held in R&T 113 on 9/16 and 12/16. Here is a website with directions to the Research and Training Building at Harborview where the workshops and seminar will be held. The Research & Training building is locked nightly by automatic timer at 9pm on Wednesdays. If it is locked earlier... here's how to get in: If you have a Harborview badge, you can use it to get in with one of the gray/black pads on the building by the door (just swipe your card in front of it). HMC Public Safety can be called to let you in; their number is 206-744-3193. (Note: if you are not a UW Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences resident, fellow, faculty, or clinical staff, participation in the workshop and seminar requires a recommendation from a colleague of Dr. Comtois. Please have them email her at the address below requesting your participation.) CLINICAL TRAINING: CONSULTATION TEAM - Wednesdays, starting in July 22, 2009, through 2009-10 year, 5:30-6:30 in Harborview Hall 2-HH-14. SKILLS TRAINING GROUP to co-lead - Tuesdays 6:00-7:30pm at UPOC INDIVIDUAL THERAPY and INDIVIDUAL AND SKILLS TRAINING SUPERVISION will be conducted in clinic, rotation, or supervisor offices as per schedules of those involved. (This clinical training is only open to residents, fellows, and faculty. Staff and other students may have clinical training options available at their clinical site outside this program.) This has been updated for 2009-2010 schedule as of 3-27-09. NOTE: There has been a change in the enrollment process to the clinical training program for residents and fellows. A maximum of 8 7-12 month individual therapy and 3 6-7 month skills training therapy slots will be offered to residents and fellows in 2009-2010. Assignments will be made to balance individual and skills training slots and psychology and psychiatry participation. Final assignments will be made in May and clients assigned in late June to early July to start treatment the week of July 27, 2009.
