Options 1a & 1b: Imagine that Carol Lynn Pearson was a woman confronting the death of her husband from an epidemic illness in one of the other cultures that we have studied. Option 2: Answer the following question. What does Carol Lynn Pearson's biography of her husband tell us about the relationship between gender
and death? How can paying attention to gender differences help us to better understand Mormon experiences of death?

Option 3: Write your own thesis statement based upon an issue related to Mormon views of death. Submit the thesis statement to me via email or in class on Monday, August 13. With my approval you can write on this subject. Please note that I will be unable to approve any thesis statement prior to Monday, August 13.
