Capstone Project, Understanding Diseases Affecting African Lives
This project builds awareness for a major issue facing African countries: disease. The user is able to view information through menus and an interactive map. When you select a specific country or disease, the origin, effects and current prevention techniques are described in detail.
Interaction Design: O 2 E x t e r m i n a t o r, Fire Extinguishing and Oxygen Absorbing Robot.
This robot releases oxygen absorbing bombs, which can extinguish 45,000 cubic yards of fire. Shaped like a frisbee, it has three extendable, retractable and rotating legs that allow it to move freely. The robot is constructed of asbestos, thus resistant to hot temperatures.
Foot Controlled Mouse.
The 'foot controlled mouse' is designed for use by those who are disabled or need both hands to multi-task. The Selection tool is made of a non-slidable, soft rubber ball. A wooden ball is used as a cursor tool to navigate on the screen, while a wooden bar is utilized for scrolling.
Calatrava Exhibition Website.
The Santiago Calatrava exhibition website focuses on the transformation of nature into Architecture. Inspired by eyes, birds in flight, bulls and the human body, the website displays Calatrava's inspiration for design from sketches to refined models and the final structure.
