Driving (or walking) from campus
Drive south on Montlake Blvd. After you cross over the Montlake Bridge get into the left lane. Turn left on Lake Washington Blvd (will be after you cross over 520). Turn left onto Foster Island Rd (there will be a Y' in the road). Take the first right, which is onto Arboretum Drive E. The Graham Visitor's Center will be on your left at the top of the hill.
Parking is available at the visitor's center or at the bottom of the hill before entering the visitor's center.
Buses

Walking directions from 24th Ave NE and McGraw St (taken from MetroKC tripplanner).

The Graham Visitor's Center will be on your left at the top of the hill.
Follow the directions above to go toward the Graham Visitor's Center. However, do not turn left onto Foster Island Rd at the "Y". Stay on Lake Washington Blvd. Continue on this road for ~ .5 miles. The Gravel Parking Lot will be the first parking lot on your left.
From campus, take Pend Oreille Road to the bottom of the hill. At the first light, continue straight (cross 25th Ave. NE) and turn left at the next light onto Montlake Boulevard, which then immediately becomes NE 45th St. At the intersection of N.E. 45th Street and Mary Gates Memorial Drive (5-way stop light), turn right (south) onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Continue south to the bend in the road (where Mary Gates Drive becomes N.E. 41st Street). The entrance to the Center is on your right.
You can also walk from campus through the Union Bay Natural Area. If you’ve never gone that way, check out the Campus Map for the quickest way from wherever you are coming from. Head for Parking Lot E5 to the east of the soccer field. The trail to CUH through UBNA (Wahkiakum Lane) starts from the NE side of the parking lot. From that point, all roads lead to CUH. Once you are on the trail going straight is the more direct route. If you have some extra time, take the first left which takes you closer to the lake. There you may see turtles sun bathing on logs, bald eagles soaring overhead, and listen to the melodious chatter of marsh wrens, red-winged blackbirds and if you’re lucky a Virginia rail. You can also admire the restoration work and review plants (pick out the Salix, Populus and Crataegus monogyna) along the way.
