About your guide:
While
in graduate school at the University of Washington, Matt became
interested in local geologic history, and has helped teach courses
such as Geology of the Pacific Northwest and Northwest Glaciers and
Volcanoes. He has also taught climate change based science and
policy courses at Cornish College in Seattle.
Matt has led numerous University of Washington students on trips to the Olympics, Cascades, San Juans, and across Eastern Washington.
Matt graduated with a degree in geology from Carleton College in Minnesota, and has been involved in field based geology across the world. He has been on research expeditions in Morocco, Mongolia, Tibet, South Africa, Italy, and in Yosemite and southern Utah in the United States.
