ENGR 100 Assignment 2. Launch Preparation
Launch Check-List - Updated 11/5
1. Engine delay time is approximately equal to optimal
delay time.
2. Rocket is stable (based on location of c.g. and c.p. - use cardboard cutout method).
3. Perform swing test w/ engine (needs to fly forwards and straight).
4. Add mass to the rocket design in RockSim so it matches your actual rocket mass w/ engine.
5. Email the instructor your RockSim file.
6. Save a copy of the RockSim file to use in your final report.
7. Engine is securely mounted so it will not punch through the rocket OR fall out the back.
8. The correct number of sheets of wadding paper have been placed between the engine and parachute/streamer.
9. The parachute/streamer can be pulled easily out the front of your rocket.
10. The nose cone is not too tight or too loose.
