ENVIR 100
Environmental Studies: Interdisciplinary Foundations

Outside seminars

You must attend two seminars outside of class that are relevant to environmental studies and write up a 1-2 page double-spaced discussion paper for each one.

Outside seminars could involve environmentally-related talks around campus or talks off-campus. At least one seminar must involve an on-campus activity. The Program on the Environment (PoE) website has a calendar of PoE events as well as other events on-campus and off-campus. If you really want to, one of your outside seminars can be a relevant movies (e.g., An Inconvenient Truth), provided that you watch it with other humans and discuss it afterwards for at least 15 minutes. Please ask one of us if you are unclear on what qualifies as an environmentally-related talk, seminar, film, etc.

Discussion papers are graded according to this grading rubric.

Have fun with this!
