ENVIR 100
Environmental Studies: Interdisciplinary Foundations Outside seminars
You must attend a seminar outside of class that is relevant to environmental studies and write up a 1-2 page double-spaced discussion paper about it. Outside seminars could involve environmentally-related talks around campus or talks off-campus. The Program on the Environment (PoE) website has a calendar of events; you are also welcome to go to other events that aren't listed on the PoE calendar, but if the event is not obviously environmentally-related then you should check first with your TA. If you really want to, your outside seminar can be a relevant movies (e.g., An Inconvenient Truth), provided that you watch it with other humans and discuss it afterwards for at least 15 minutes. Please ask your TA if you are unclear on what qualifies as an environmentally-related talk, seminar, film, etc. Discussion papers are graded according to this grading rubric. Have fun with this!
