Dr. Holt’s primary research
interests are in the area of reproductive epidemiology. Research
projects
include the impact of oral contraceptive use on ovarian cyst formation;
the
epidemiology of endometriosis with emphasis on reproductive,
contraceptive, and
genetic risk factors; hormonal risk factors for adenomyosis; the
association between weight, body mass index, and oral contraceptive
failure; and emerging risk factors for ectopic pregnancy.
Dr. Holt also participates in several research projects
concerning
intimate partner violence, with particular interest in the effect of
the
criminal justice system response to IPV on future violence risk. To see

Dr.
Holt currently teaches
Epi 522 "Reproductive Epidemiology" offered in Spring Quarter even
years, and co-teaches Epi 584 (Dissertation Research Seminar) and Epi
512/513
(Epidemiologic Methods I and II).
