Cross section 2: Updated May 13, 2008

Cross section 3: Updated May 13, 2008

Swamp Creek Data

The field trip to Swamp Creek will be on Saturday April 19, 2008.

Here is the project guideline for Swamp Creek.

When it comes time to enter your data into Excel, you may find this spreadsheet useful. This spreadsheet is simply intended to help you get started entering your data. You may need to alter it so that it works for the way your group collected data.

I will post data from the field trip here:

Cross-section #1 (upper section): Updated 4/30/08. I updated one cell on the areas for the velocity profile so that the entire area of the cross-section is included. This should increase the total discharge from 3.76 m/s to 3.87 m/s. If you have time to fix your calculations from this, go ahead and do that. If you don't have time to fix this before the draft is due, don't worry about it for now, but do fix it for your final version.

Cross-section #2 (middle section): Updated 4/25/08

Cross-section #3 (lower section): Updated 4/27/08. New! This now has vertical velocity profiles!

Longitudinal Profile: Updated 4/25/08

Floodplain Profile: Updated 4/25/08
