The main program diffusion_SS.m sets up geometry of solution domain.

  • The solution domain can be either 1-D or 2-D.
  • In 1-D, Source term and conductivity term can be described analytically using polynomials.
  • Setting fvm=1 uses FVM; setting fvm=0 leads to solution using Finite Differences (FDM).

cvm_soln.m formulates the discretization equations following Control-Volume methods, as described in Patankar.

solve.m solves the resulting system of linear equations.
