Comments:            Starting at T16N R04E NE ¼ of NW ¼ of Section 34, at the landing on the 2070 road, the group began numbering stations for the grade line.  The beginning station number was 0 + 00.  We ended the grade line at 23+00 on the 2000 road.  The initial bearing was S10 W and we entered the 2000 road at a bearing of S70 W.  20 year-old Douglas-fir was encountered from 0 + 00 to 10 + 00.  Salal was the major understory species in this area.  Also, due to the densely planted Douglas-fir, 25 foot stations were used.  From the 10 + 00 station to 23 + 00, the grade line was run through a 5 year-old clearcut.
