Research Areas: Genetics of aquatic species and aquaculture. Principal interewsts and emphases have been on genetic analyses of factors important to development of broodstocks, both for use in endangered species rehabilitation (i.e.captive broodstocks) and for use in commercial production. The techniques I have used for this work include, quantitative genetic analysis, design of selection and breeding programs, analyses and interpretation of qualitative genetic differences (e.g.protein electrophoresis) and chromosome set manipulation.
