Lab Assignments
The best way to succeed with the lab assignments is to do the reading before lab, read the instructions, ask questions whenever something is confusing, and do the work.
Most labs have accompanying Catalyst WebQ "quizzes." These WebQs will make sure you understand underlying concepts and areas where details matter. They are open book and can be worked on for several sessions. Be sure to save the WebQ at the end of each session so you don't lose your work for that session. Be sure to submit before the deadline so that you don't lose your work for the whole WebQ. Always save the confirmation code you receive after submitting the WebQ.
The best approach is to work on the lab and go to the WebQ every time you are directed to do so. Grading will take place in two stages: WebQ will score your work automatically on the true-or-false and multiple-choice questions, then the TA or instructor will look at your work and assign additional points. The combined score will be your final score for that lab.
