Overview
This week we start our tour of the world of Information Technology. After sharing with you the vision for the course, we find out why terminology is "key", compare rates of change in humans and in the IT world, and discuss critical thinking.
Objectives
The objectives for this week are:
- Explain why it's important to know the right word
- Define basic hardware and software terms
- Describe how the mouse clicks a button
- Define and give examples of “idea” terms
- Develop the ability to think more analytically
- Compare speed records
- Express an improvement in speed as a factor
- Explain the benefits of analytical thinking
