What Can Be Done?

The study of environmental justice draws upon the relationships between property values, settlement patterns, class, income, race, facility citing and political power etc. Environmental Justice is a subset of social equity risk versus benefits of environment.

The city has the ability to respond to environmental justice concerns through decisions regarding city policies, programs, and services and can encourage other governmental agencies to do the same. The city can facilitate action by businesses and citizens to address environmental justice concerns in Seattle.
