This presentation and the accompanying white paper discuss the technical feasibility of comprehensive molecular imaging, and what such a capability might imply for defense, business, medicine, engineering, and basic science. Care has been taken to make this material accessible to nonspecialists, yet the discussion is reasonably rigorous.
Our analysis is cautiously optimistic about the technology, and profoundly optimistic about its applications. We conclude that comprehensive molecular imaging is likely to prove technically feasible, most likely by multiple design paths, and that this capability will serve multiple missions that are of pivotal strategic importance.
