Project teams and project topics will be assigned by the instructor. Each team will be responsible for creating a skit on a project management topic. Each team member must have a speaking part, but the time does not need to be divided equally.
Project Deliverables:
The skit will be graded according to the following:
- Informational/Educational 9%
- Engaging/Interesting 6%
All members of the project group will receive the same final grade.
Final Paper (Individual Project)
Each student must write a final paper. For your final paper, you must write a 4 to 5 page paper (single space, 12 pt font) that describes 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses you have as a project manager.
1. Be careful to support your claims with specific, detailed examples of previous performance on projects (school, work, or personal) and to relate your claims to specific concepts and discussions from the readings (cite and quote the readings).
2. How will this knowledge of your strengths and weaknesses change how you go about both participating in and leading projects. What specific actions and activities will you undertake to combat your weaknesses and build on your strengths? Be specific (e.g. Don't simply say I will "plan ahead and make a schedule" say what you will do and what you will make to plan ahead and make an appropriate and effective schedule?).
3. A good balance for the content would be 33% personal stories and 67% analysis building off the readings.
4. Make sure your proofread your essay.
5. Make sure your essay has a beginning, a middle, and an end and that there is logical coherence to the ideas. No bullet lists or bullet-list like writing where the points are not related to each other or tied together in any way.
