Course Requirements:

Attendance at lectures and 3 one page response papers 10%
            Response papers should be a brief, one page statement about
             reading assigned for a given day.  You may focus on any aspect of
            of the assigned reading, and on a single reading.  The purpose is to
            raise questions about the reading.  Typed or handwritten (no pencil).

Short paper due  Tuesday April 17th, 20%
            Instructions for first paper are included with syllabus 
            Late papers will be marked down -.1 per day overdue.

Midterm Exam Thursday April 26th in class

Longer paper: due Tuesday May 29th in class

Final exam: Friday 2:30 PM June 8th
                  Earlier exam will be schedule for Monday June 4th at 2:30 PM
