Textbook: Hillier and Lieberman, Introduction to Operations Research, 7th Edition, McGraw-Hill Inc., 2001

Courseware: A CD is included with the textbook. You may wish to go through the tutorial on it. It is recommended that you try to get familiar with the MPL software and Excel Solver. An MPL Tutorial is included in the MPL folder. You can run it by starting your web browser and opening the index.html file located in the “MPLTutorial” folder. Also for Excel Solver, you can find a help file named Solver.hlp in Premium Solver folder. Try building some basic models, and contact Charlie Khompatraporn (ckhom@u.washington.edu) with any problems. Note: When using MPL, after you build a model, you should choose “Solve Conopt” from the Run menu.
