This site was created after reading the novel, Their Eyes Were Watching God, written by Zora Neale Hurston.  This novel was published in 1937, but not until the quarter of the 20th century did the novel gain its recognition as a phenomenon.  On this site I will present a critical analysis on a specific chapter from Zora Neale Hurston's novel and show how this particular section helped in developing the main character's self discovery. This web site was created as a final project for a Harlem Renaissance Literature course, and I hope you enjoy your visit.
