LING 575 - Spoken Dialog
Spring 2014
Intermediate Project Presentation
May 6, 2015
You should provide a brief introduction (3-5 minutes) on your project.
However, the model is a 'boaster' for your project, so you want to highlight key points to gain the interest of your listeners. As such, you should focus on the following:
- 1) What is the main task/problem your project targets?
- 2) Why is it interesting?
- 3) What challenges do you foresee?
- 4) What is your approach?
- If you are building a dialog system for a particular task, sketch/describe a usage scenario.
To streamline the process, you do not need to show slides.
There are two options for the presentation for online students.
- 1) We can allow you to speak directly through Adobe Connect. All you need is a working microphone with your computer, and an internet connection.
- 2) If you prefer, you can pre-record your (or your team's or your part of your team's) pitch, and I can play that back in class. MP3s and WAV files usually work.
Let me know what you'd prefer (individually). If you want to use Adobe Connect,
we should schedule a time to check your audio.
