Web Design Concepts

Upon successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:

  • Explain the idea of markup in general and HTML in particular
  • Produce a basic Web page using a text editor and HTML
  • Produce a basic site with intermediate tagging using a Web integrated development environment
  • Apply the concepts of information representation and organization to Web page navigation
  • Plan for the creation of a large scale web site

  • Info Analysis

Your Web site so far. It should have:

2- One completed page

  • The page layout you want
  • A global nav area with links in it (if that is part of your design)
  • One content area that shows one completely laid out and styled item.
  • A customized style sheet attached that applies to the content and navigation areas
  • One local navigation area showing one way the user can navigate to various items

3- One CSS file with your customized styles

That's a total of 4 files. PLEASE DO NOT HAND IN MORE THAN THESE 4 FILES.
