Week 8: A weekend trip to the outer coast! Since we were limted to exploring the coast at low tide and we had come so far, we spent some time this weekend exploring the amazing terrestrial habitats of the Olympic Peninsula. Hurricane Ridge. Hurricane Ridge. Hurricane Ridge. Hurricane Ridge. We turned back after a short walk, but got the chance to play in the snow in May... We made a quick stop at Lake Crescent, a unique oligotrophic lake. Lake Crescent.

Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent. After a good night's sleep at the Olympic Natural Resources Center, we got an early start to Rialto Beach... ...and started our long walk to Hole in the Wall. The point in the distance was our goal.
