Class Attendance

  1. Missing one class session is acceptable
  2. Missing a second class session will require completing a written make-up assignment (listening to a podcast, reviewing slides, and writing a 1/2 page essay on how the lecture relates to your own research interest)
  3. Missing more than two classes will result in a grade of NC for the course
  4. Note: If an absence is due to H1N1 or presumed H1N1, this will not count against your "free" miss (1. above) nor will the policy in 3. above apply.  A makeup will, however, be required for each missed session in order to get credit for the class (listening to a podcast, reviewing slides, and writting a 1/2 page essay on how the lecture relates to your own research interest)
  5. Note: Due to AMIA there will be no class on 11/17/09
