Course DescriptionMedicine 534 Wilderness Medicine is a medical student elective designed to give students an introduction to the field of wilderness medicine. Students will learn the basics of patient assessment and the fundamentals of diagnosis and management in several of the core topics within the field. Students will also learn to think through actual case scenarios as well as learn one of the key aspects of the practice of wilderness medicine – improvisation in challenging circumstances.
