Taiwan is a paradise of food. Students will be treated to Meinung’s famous traditional Hakka cuisine. A wide variety of other food can also be found in Meinung and especially in Kaohsiung, ranging from local specialties to fashionable international foods. Missing coffee from Seattle? There are plenty of bubble tea (a Taiwanese invention) and a bewildering variety of cold drinks and ice to cool you off in the tropical Southern Taiwan.
