30 September 2002 ---- Lab sections will NOT meet the first week of classes (30 September to 04 October). All labs meet in Mechanical Engineering Building (MEB) 127. Take advantage of the the Engineering Writing Center (EWC) in Engineering Annex (EGA) for your formal laboratory reports.

September 2002 ---- Midterm exam will be Friday, 01 November in MEB 238. Topics will include material on Lab Procedures, Analysis of Data, Stress and Strain, Stress and Strain Transformations (incuding principal values), Bendings in Bending (Straight and Curved), and Material Propertie and Perfor)mance. Information covered in the first few labs will also be covered (Labs 1, 2, and 3 (Beams in bending, Curved beams, and Mechanical properties of materials)). Conditions of exam are CLOSED book, but calculator permitted, but NO notes, NO lab reports, NO course handouts or other similar materials.
