WEEK
5 – February 5 Technology & Shooting
- Film presentation: "Independent America: Rising from
Ruins" Communications Room 120, 6 p.m.
You must make the following notes during the screening:
(1)
About a specific visual (it could be how a shot is framed,
a particular camera angle, an interview setup, etc.). This
chapter from Stevens, "A Story from Start to Finish" might
help you:

(2) About a specific edit or sequence.
(3) A couple of lines of what you think the storyline is
(i.e the narrative structure: beginning, middle, end).
We'll discuss at least one of these in class afterwards,
and you'll submit all three to me via e-mail or on paper by
the end of class. This will count to your
participation grade. And I'll respond to each one of
you (the screening is meant to be an educational experience
for you).
