IDEAS FOR TESTS
Here are few ASTM test specifications that I would find useful in during the execution of your projects. You can find all of the current ASTM specs at the UW Engineering Library in the reference section, first floor, NE corner wall of the building, call no. 620.1 AME. If you don't feel like searching through the index book, go to www.astm.org and look in the standards section. There you can do a key work search. You cannot donwload specs from the website, you have to photocopy them from the library.
This is just a short list compiled here to expose you to what tests or style of tests you might want to conduct for you projects. If an idea behind some of the tests seem interesting to you, but you don't have the correct materials for the application listed in the spec, just talk to your TA, the lead TA, the professor, or the lab technician, and we will try to work something out.
