Electrodiagnostic studies (NCS/EMG)

Findings: Abnormal study. The right peroneal and tibial compound motor action potentials (CMAPs) have reduced amplitude. Both sural sensory nerve action potentials (SNAPs) are absent. Electromyography (EMG) shows mild acute denervation in the right tibialis anterior and medial gastrocnemius.

Impression: These findings are consistent with a mild-moderate, length-dependent, axonal, sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy.
