revised version of Homework 5 is posted. It contains a correction to
#3a. Please discount the previous reference to the quake occuring 100
miles from the Aleutian Islands. Please use 3700 km as the distance the
tsunami travels.

Monday, April 21, 2008 As announced in class, the TA's will hold EXAM REVIEW SESSIONS at 5:00-6:30 PM on Wednesday and 4:30-6 PM on Thursday. Both will be held in Ocean Teaching Building Room 14 (basement auditorium). The DRAFT exam 1 study guide is posted via a link at left. This is a comprehensive list of material that has been covered and is expected to be covered through Wednesday. We plan to provide guidance on the relative importance of the material on this guide by class Wednesday. The key to Homework 2 is posted via a link on the Assignments page. Thursday, April 10, 2008 There is a correction to Question 9 on the homework: refer to the TEXT and figures in chapter 3 of S&A. We want you to figure out which figures. Also, #9 refers to the location in the previous question, #8. A revised version was posted at 1:30 Thursday. Sorry for the confusion!
