Grading and Examination Policies

Grading:

3 credit hours
Midterm - 100 points
Final - 100 points

4 credit hours
Midterm - 100 points
Final - 100 points
Quizzes - 100 points

Quizzes:

Combined Quiz Average - 100 points
Students enrolled for 4 credits will take weekly quizzes at the beginning of the Thursday conferences. These will total 100 points. The top five quiz grades will be used to compute the quiz grade. Because the purpose of the weekly quizzes is to encourage students to stay up to date with the material and to focus for further discussions, students who take a minimum of 5 quizzes will not be penalized if their quiz average falls below their average in the hour exams. In other words, the quiz grade will only be averaged in if it helps the final grade.

There will be no make-up for exams.
